Chichester service station burgled

A large quantity of cigarettes were stolen after a burglary at the Tesco service station in Fishbourne Road East.

The burglary took place at around 12.15am on Friday, January 7, but details of the incident were only released today January 20.

Two men, one using a pick axe forced entry to the metal shutters and gained entry to the kiosk.

Once inside the kiosk the men forced entry to the tobacco display and also forced the two tills open, although it is not thought any money was stolen.

Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should call Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999.
