Sophie Bye, 26, of The Nurseries, Bognor Regis, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 80 hours’ unpaid work after admitting two charges of assaulting an emergency worker, a police officer, by beating in Bognor Regis on January 7, 2020. She must pay a total of £100 compensation, £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Gary Brooks, 51, of Nutbourne Common, Pulborough, was fined £120 and must pay £32 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting driving while disqualified in Lower Street, Pulborough, on September 15, 2019. He was disqualified from driving for 21 months. He was fined £120 after admitting driving without insurance in Lower Street, Pulborough, on September 15, 2019. He was fined £40 after admitting breaching a suspended sentence order.

Russell Harrington, 35, of Arundel Road, Worthing, was given a community order with six-week curfew, electronically monitored, from 7pm to 7am daily, and Rehabilitation Activity Requirement after admitting using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent to suggest immediate unlawful violence would be used or provoke the immediate use of unlawful violence in Worthing on November 27, 2019. He was fined £80 after admitting resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty in Worthing on November 27, 2019. He was fined £80 after admitting possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Worthing on November 27, 2019. He must pay £50 compensation after admitting assault by beating in Worthing on November 27, 2019, no separate penalty. He also admitted damaging a Sussex Police cell wall by spitting on it in Worthing on November 27, 2019. He was banned from Sainsbury’s, Lyons Farm, for 12 months and must pay £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Matthew Izzard, 40, of Castle Gates, Rustington Bypass, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 50 hours’ unpaid work after admitting two charges of assaulting an emergency worker, a police constable, by beating in Brook Lane, Rustington, on April 19, 2020. He was fined £80 after admitting resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty in Brook Lane, Rustington, on April 19, 2020. He must pay £95 victim surcharge, £85 costs.

Caroline Owen, 35, of Chesterfield Road, Worthing, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must carry out 150 hours’ unpaid work after admitting assault by beating in Angmering on December 7, 2019. She must pay £90 victim surcharge, £85 costs. She must also pay £100 compensation after admitting causing £600 damage to an iPhone in Angmering on December 7, 2019, no separate penalty.

Kacey Hughes, 26, of Manor Road, Rustington, was given a community order with Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and must pay £95 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting assaulting an emergency worker, a police constable, by beating in Broadwater Road, Worthing, on April 17, 2020. She was fined £153 after admitting possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Georgia Avenue, Worthing, on April 17, 2020. She must pay £100 compensation after admitting causing £500 damage to a vehicle in Georgia Avenue, Worthing, on April 17, 2020, no separate penalty. She must pay £65 compensation after admitting causing £65 damage to a police cell at Worthing Custody Centre on April 17, 2020, no separate penalty.

Christopher Byrne, 28, of Mile Oak Road, Southwick, was given a community order and must carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work after admitting drink-driving (77mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath) in Southwick Street, Southwick, on December 22, 2019; and taking a vehicle without consent and, before it was recovered, damage was caused to the vehicle, a wall, lamppost and another vehicle, the combined value exceeding £5,000. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months. He was also given a restraining order and must pay a total of £8,952.64 compensation. He also admitted driving without insurance, no separate penalty.

Archie Osmaston, 19, of Fittleworth Road, Wisborough Green, was fined £346 and must pay £35 victim surcharge, £85 costs, after admitting drug-driving (44ug/l cocaine) in Worthing Road, Southwater, on January 24, 2020. He also admitted drug-driving (157ug/l benzoylecgonine) in Worthing Road, Southwater, on January 24, 2020, no separate penalty. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
