Investigation launched after Emsworth robbery

POLICE have launched an investigation into an Emsworth robbery which occurred on Saturday (May 4).

Detectives in Waterlooville are seeking witnesses after a 79-year-old man was the victim of an robbery.

The incident occurred between 5pm and 7pm at Emsworth House Close.

Some money and a mobile phone were taken from the property.

Investigating officer, DC Steve Kelly of Waterlooville DCID said: “The elderly gentleman was very upset and shaken by the incident and we need the assistance of the community in tracking down those responsible.

“I would like to reassure the community that this appears to be an isolated case at this time.”

Police are keen to speak to a man and woman who were seen in the area at that time, both of which are described in their early to mid 20s.
