Police hold briefings in Bosham after murder

BOSHAM residents have been invited to meet with police to discuss concerns after an unsolved murder in the village.

Chichester Police is holding a string of ‘street briefings’ in the village next week, after the murder of Valerie Graves in Smugglers Lane on December 30.

“All are welcome to come and discuss any concerns that you have within your local area or if you have any questions in regards to the incident in Bosham, our officers will be on hand to answer them,” said a police spokeswoman.

The meetings will be held each day from Monday, March 17, to Friday, March 21.

Police will be on hand to answer questions outside the Bosham Craft Centre from 11am until midday and at the Co-op store in Delling Lane from 7pm until 8pm.

Valerie Graves was murdered when she was house sitting in Smugglers Lane, Bosham in December.

Police believed she was attacked with a hammer, and she suffered head and facial injuries.

The Sussex and Surrey Major Crime Team recently called in extra help to try and get to the bottom of the incident.
