Police issue update after sexual assault in Chichester

A man has been released under investigation after a sexual assault in Chichester, according to Sussex Police.

Police said officers responded to a report of a man 'behaving inappropriately' to women in shops in South Street at 5.40pm on Thursday, October 15.

A 37-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault before being released on conditional bail until today (Tuesday, November 17).

Providing an update today, a police spokesperson confirmed the man had been 'released under investigation'.
