At 3pm on Thursday (August 6) a man snatched the luxury watch valued at £23,000 from a display area inside RL Austen Jewellers in East Street.

The man then ran out, pushing aside a member of staff. Helping him were two other men who were inside the shop and prevented staff from stopping the man, who left the area in a car.

Nobody was reported to have been hurt.

The man and the watch have not yet been traced.
