Teenage girl arrested after fight breaks out in East Wittering

A teenager was arrested after a fight broke out amongst a group of young people in East Wittering on Friday night (November 27), police have said.

Sussex Police said officers were called to Kingfisher Parade at 7.10pm.

A member of the public, who had tried to intervene, was assaulted and damage was also caused to a vehicle, police said.

A spokesperson added: "Officers attended and the group dispersed.

"A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. She has been released under investigation.

"Enquiries are ongoing to identify others involved in the altercation."
