Teenager hospitalised after suffering broken jaw in Emsworth attack

A 17-year-old boy has been hospitalised after he was followed by a group and punched in the face, police have confirmed.

The boy suffered a broken jaw and is currently in hospital receiving treatment, according to Hampshire Constabulary.

Police said he was walking along Horndean Road, Emsworth, shortly before midnight last night (November 2) when he was followed by a group of people.

One in the group, which included a woman, punched him in the face once, leaving him with a broken jaw, police have confirmed.

A police spokeswoman said: “Officers investigating the assault would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this or who may have seen a group hanging around the area late last night.”
