Teenager robbed of clothes by knife wielding thief in Emsworth

THIS is the face of a knife wielding robber who made a teenager strip to his underwear after his victim told him he had nothing he could steal.

Police want to speak to the man pictured in the e-fit who robbed a terrified 17-year-old boy of his clothes in Emsworth on Friday, September 30, at 11pm.

The suspect was walking along North Street in the town when he approached the victim near to the Tesco Express store.

He threatened him with a knife that had a blade of several inches, and led him to Seagull Lane and demanded all of his property.

When he was told there was nothing to steal, he made the victim strip to his underwear, and took his clothes, but he did not harm him.

He then ran off and got into the passenger seat of a small hatchback parked in Emsworth train station car park, which drove off in the direction of West Leigh.

The suspect is described as, white, approximately 27-years-old, 5ft 8ins tall, of

stocky build with a tanned complexion, clean shaven with brown eyes.

He was wearing a bright white Adidas hooded top, Adidas blue tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe running down the outside, and white trainers

Detective constable Simon Poulter said: “This is a serious incident, and we want to track the offender down as quickly as possible.

“Fortunately, it is also a very rare incident and this kind of robbery is highly unusual.

“We are hoping that the public can identify this man and help us bring him to justice.

“We would ask that people take a close look at the e-fit, and if they recognise the suspect they should contact us as soon as possible.

“Additionally, anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the robbery take place should get in touch. There are likely to have been people around who may have seen it.”
