POLICE are appealing for information after a 42-year-old woman was pushed to the ground in Chichester and had her rucksack pulled from her back.

The victim was walking from Bognor Road into Florence Road on March 6, heading towards Windsor Road at around 8.20pm when she was shoved from behind causing her to fall to her knees. The suspects then riffled through her bag before discarding it nearby.

Detective Sergeant Sally Arbuckle from West Sussex CID said: “Fortunately the woman was not seriously injured and none of her belongings were taken but nonetheless she is very shaken by the whole incident.

“Due the victim being shoved from behind and did not get a good look at the suspects, we only know there was about three men, white and in their 20s.
