Curry house winner Magna Tandoori receives trophy

Magna Tandoori Restaurant in Bognor Regis has been presented with a trophy and certificate as the winner of the Observer Curry House of the Year 2016.

Mohammed Majid, his brother Mujib and their team would like to thank all their customers and readers of the Observer Series for voting for them in the competition.

A successful family business established in 1981, Magna Tandoori, in the heart of Bognor Regis, has recently been refurbished.

The curry house offers a wide range of speciality dishes, exclusive to Magna Tandoori.

The menu is gluten free and can be adapted to all tastes.

The chef has won many awards over the years and has recently introduced several delicious new dishes to the menu, all with the finest Indian spices and ingredients.

Mohammed and Mujib are always on hand to ensure their loyal customers receive the highest standard of service and quality of food, for which Magna Tandoori has been known for 35 years.

Mohammed Majid and his team received a trophy and a certificate from the Observer team on Saturday.

India Gate at 14 St Pancras, Chichester, came second and The Old Cottage at 37 West Street, Chichester, came third.

Thanks to the strength of this year’s entrants, the Observer received hundreds of votes for the curry houses that featured in the top ten of the Curry House Of The Year 2016 competition.

It is hoped many will enter again next year to see if they can win in 2017.
