Speaking on BBC2’s It Takes Two last night, November 16, Danny recalled his first ever job aged 15-year-old was as a waiter in a Pagham pub.

Saturday’s show, which will come live from Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom, will see him reprise the role and play a waiter in his dance with professional partner Oti Mabuse.

According to the BBC, it will be a Charleston to ‘Puttin’ On The Ritz’ by Gregory Porter.

Danny, who is patron of St Wilfrid‘s Hospice and alumni of Chichester’s Stagecoach, is currently listed as the favourite by Ladbrokes with odds at 6/5.

The former Hollyoaks star topped the leaderboard last week with a Tango.

Stephanie Hicks, principal of Stagecoach Chichester and Danny’s former teacher, is among those tipping him for the crown.

She said: “I can still remember Danny walking through our doors like it was yesterday. Such a fabulously talented young boy and it’s easy to see why he has gone on to such success.

“It just goes to show that our children are capable of so much and that with the right amount of support and guidance, they can aspire to anything.”
