Dogs and owners walk for Children In Need

DOGS put their best paws forward with their owners when they took part in a sponsored walk for Children In Need.

The walk was organised by the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory and set off from the playing field at Lavant Memorial Hall.

The event was part of a national initiative between Rotary and Children In Need organisers and was one of hundreds of walks taking place across the country.

Between 50 and 80 dogs and their owners took part, enjoying either a one-and-a-half-mile or three-mile route, which was made all the better for our canine friends thanks to pet store Pets at Home in Chichester which donated a big box of treats for the day.

Rotary member Doug Price said: “I’m very pleased at the numbers of people who have come, considering it’s our first one. People seem to enjoy it and have said what a lovely idea it is and we hope to do it again next year.”
