Ferry and Eurostar services are said to be running as normal, although may take slightly longer due to enhanced security levels, with border checks being reinstated for those driving to France.

Eurostar is offering a free exchange for passengers who planned to travel today but now don’t want to.

Flights to Paris airports are operating normally, although there are extra security checks at all airports across the country, which may cause delays to flights.

A statement released by British Airways said: “We continue to monitor the situation in Paris after attacks in the city on Friday November 13, 2015.

“The French government has asked for extra security checks at all airports in the country, and this is likely to lead to delays to flights to and from France on Saturday November 14.

“The safety and security of our customers and crew is always our top priority.

“Please check your flight before leaving for the airport.

“If you are travelling to or from Paris on Saturday 14 November and no longer wish to travel, we have made the following options available to you.

“You can delay your flight to another day within the ticket validity or re-book to an alternative destination within a 300 mile radius.”

Easyjet has also said those due to travel with them in the next 48 hours can cancel and get a refund.

Any customer due to be travelling with Flybe on Saturday or Sunday who no longer wishes to do so can rebook to a later date to any alternative destination, or obtain a credit note for future travel.
