Korean teachers visit the University of Chichester

A GROUP of secondary school teachers from South Korea have visited the University of Chichester to improve their teaching.

The group from the Gyeongsangnam-do Educational Training Institute visited for a month to improve their English language skills and their knowledge as teachers of a foreign language.

Stephen Corcoran, director of the International Short Programme Unit at the University, said: ‘The Korean teachers are key figures in their schools, who have now acquired the skills to share the professional training with their colleagues at home.

‘With the existing course we run for the National Ministry of Education, combined with this new programme, we will have teachers from South Korea with us for eight months of the year, which is a great achievement and a strong position for us.’
