SCULPTURES have descended along the River Lavant during the Chichester Festivities.

The River Hope Project aims to bring sculpture and art and the Chichester community together through the project.

The project, inspired by an association working with street children in Senegal, is displaying the sculpture trail for the first time this year until Saturday.

A total of eight sculptors are exhibiting their work over 12 sites.

Stuart Callow, co-ordinator of The River Hope Project, said: “This is about a group of people trying to do something with art in the community, it is about art educating and serving a purpose and an opportunity to bring people together.

“Hopefully the art could link people together and influence the next generation.”

Information and a detailed map of the trail can be found at the information point at Pallant car park, Chichester, or from riverhopeproject@gmail.com
