EMSWORTH Primary School pupils got into the summer spirit with their annual Summer Fayre.

Pupils, staff and members of the public enjoyed a whole host of summer fun, including maypole dancing performed by Year 6 pupils, donkey rides, circus skills, puppet shows and traditional stalls run by children of all years to raise funds for the school.

Demonstrations were also given by Emsworth Fire and Rescue Service.

PTA committee member Marie Monro said: “It is a major fundraising event of the year for our school’s Parent Teacher Association and we have worked extremely hard to change the format and involve the local community this year.

“Considering the current economic climate, everyone has been very kind by donating prizes, loan of vehicles, marquees and of course their time, for which we are extremely grateful.”
