Emsworth road rage police appeal


A ROAD RAGE assault reported in Emsworth has sparked a police appeal for witness.

A woman aged in her 40s was riding her moped along Havant Road in the direction of Emsworth town centre between 3.45pm and 4pm on Wednesday, July 2.

Enquiries are continuing into a report of a man, driving a red Peugeot taxi, who left his vehicle and assaulted the woman moments after an argument and collision.

The female moped rider suffered neck injuries and received medical attention in hospital.

Investigating officer PC Gareth Davies said: “This was an unprovoked violent attack on an innocent member of the public. We are appealling for witnesses to what happened.”
