A CLAY pigeon shoot and hog roast is being held at Trumley Barn in Lavant to help sick children.
The event, which will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, May 3, from 10am to 3pm, will be raising money for local charity Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
Bosham resident Steve O’Brien is organising the event. He said: “We’re offering 50 clays and the hog roast for just £25 per person, so it’s too good an opportunity to miss.
“Teams of four will have the opportunity to compete for prizes but newbies who simply want to have a go at clay shooting are welcome, too.
“We have some amazing items up for grabs to the highest bidder, so we expect some stiff competition and hope to raise lots of money for Snowdrop.”
An auction and raffle will take place during lunch, which auctioneer Derek Bowman from Chichester’s auction house Stride & Sons will host.
The Sussex Snowdrop Trust provides vital nursing care for children with terminal or life threatening illnesses.
The trust also provides emotional support to the families of ill children through Snowdrop counsellors and financial support which can be a huge problem when caring for a very unwell child.
