Felpham is a beautiful seaside village with character all of its own

Felpham with its shingle beach and promenade is the perfect place for those that want a village feel by the sea.

Bob May, company founder of Mays Estate Agents, has been associated with the village both as a resident and an estate agent for more than 20 years.

“I think that my 46 years as an estate agent in Felpham speaks volumes for what it means to me and the special affection I have for the village,” he said.

Separated from nearby Bognor Regis by Butlins Holiday Centre Bob says that it has the feel of a ‘seaside village without the kiss me quick and candy floss trappings found elsewhere’.

“It retains a special atmosphere all of its own,” he added.

As well as the beach it has a Norman church, active village hall, leisure centre and both primary and secondary schools.

“It nestles on the coast with safe bathing facilities, with an incredibly active and successful sailing club, whilst being sheltered from the extremes of climate and benefiting from the leisure opportunities to the north by the South Downs,” Bob explained.

“The flats starting at £115,000 and bungalows starting around £250,000 and rising through to just under £500,000.”
