Firefighters rescue woman trapped in vehicle in Upwaltham

Firefighters rescued a woman from a road traffic collision last night.

Ambulances from Petworth and Bognor Regis and heavy rescue tender from Chichester attended the incident at 6.34pm on the A285 in Upwaltham after a car had been driven off the road.

Thirteen firefighters released the woman trapped in her vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment.

The road and car was made safe by the three crews, and the firefighters left the scene at approximately 7pm.
