Firefighters tackle wall and small fire


FIREFIGHTERS have been called to two separate incidents in Chichester this week.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended Littlefield Road in Chichester on Monday after reports a dangerous wall could fall on to a footpath.

They arrived at the scene at 9.32pm and worked on the wall to make it safe for passers-by.

The rescue service left the scene at 9.43pm.

Firefighters were also called out to tackle a fire in a waste refuse warehouse in Stane Street, Chichester on Tuesday morning.

A small fire was discovered in the Waste Management Centre, off the A285.

Firefighters used a hose reel, drag rake and thermal imaging camera to get to the fire.

They arrived at the scene at 5.17am and left at 8.29am.
