STRANDED for ten months is Dubai after his wife’s death, superbike rider Sean Emmett’s first stop when he gets back to the UK is Selsey.

Mr Emmett is expected to return to the UK today (December 5), after his passport was confiscated in Dubai following his wife’s death.

Abbie Emmett, 27, died after falling from a window at a hotel, during a 48-hour stopover in Dubai after the couple’s honeymoon in South Africa.

Although her death was recorded as suicide, there were reports of a murder investigation.

Mr Emmett’s passport was confiscated when he went to a police station to complete paperwork over her death – and he had been stranded in the country ever since.

He was never arrested or charged over the death, and now Mr Emmett is on his way home after his passport was returned on Tuesday.

Mr Emmett, from Surrey, tweeted: “I can’t wait, first stop is to see my Mum in Selsey.”
