A country theme park has been cleared of breaching health and safety rules after an employee was injured when falling from a horse-pulled wagon.
Fishers Farm Park in Wisborough Green was found not guilty by a jury at Chichester Crown Court on Wednesday March 30, of failing to ensure that the wagon was safe for their employees to use.
Chichester District Council took up the prosecution after Rebecca Kennedy fell under the legs of horses pulling the wagon as she made a turn exiting a field.
The jury were told on Monday by defence witness, and chartered engineer James Gillam that there was nothing wrong with the wagon - which is used at the park to carry members of the public around a wildlife area.
The accident happened on August 19, 2008, when the wagon was turning left out of the field between a fence and hedge.
