Former Hambrook man acquitted of sex charges

A MAN accused of historic sex offences has been acquitted.

Edmond Hillman, 57, of County Durham, was accused of six counts of indecent assault and one count of gross indecency dating back to the 1970s.

There were three complainants in the case.

At the time, Hillman’s parents ran a children’s home in the area, where he was accused of committing the offences.

But at Chichester Crown Court on Tuesday, Hillman was found not guilty by a jury of all the charges against him.
