Comic book fans are invited to celebrate Free Comic Book Day.
CGC Emporium in North Street will be hosting the event this Saturday, May 7.
Tom Trinder, director at CGC Emporium, said: “It’s great to have the opportunity to give something back to Chichester’s comic book readers, as well as all the people that have supported us over the last five months.
“This is the 15th annual free comic book day and although it may be Chichester’s first we hope that we can make it a fun day for everyone.
“We also hope to use the day to raise some money for charity in the process, we will have collection tins for the Make a Wish Foundation as well as Mind the mental health charity.”
Free Comic Book Day is held on the first Saturday in May, starting in North America it takes place across the world and sees participating comic book speciality shops give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who steps through the doors.
Tom added: “Local comic book writer Simon Birks will be in attendance as well as some of our very kind customers who will be doing some cosplay, so don’t be alarmed if you see some interesting characters handing out comics on the day.”
