Heart charity needs more volunteers in Chichester and Bognor

VOLUNTEERS are needed at the Chichester and Bognor Regis branch of the British Heart Foundation to keep the group going.

Kathrine Maynard, BHF fundraising volunteer manager, said: “The Bognor Regis and Chichester branch has done some fabulous work over
the past 18 years, but sadly the number of members has severely diminished and without some new support the future of the branch is uncertain.

“It would be a tragedy if this branch were to close, they have raised more than £350,000 since they were founded which has helped to fund 23 defibrillators in the Arun and Chichester area.”

The charity also funds several nurses who are based at St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester, trained specifically to deal with heart problems.
