AN ‘out of control’ bonfire led to firefighters from East Wittering being called to West Wittering yesterday (Wednesday, July 24).
According to a fire service spokeswoman, a crew was called out at 11.52am to land off Summerfield Road where a bonfire was spreading to a hedgerow.
Crews were at the scene for around 50 minutes.
At 2.40pm, firefighters from Chichester were called to the A27 Fishbourne Roundabout.
A car had left the road and crashed into a hedge.
No one was trapped or injured and firefighters left the scene after 15 minutes.
