Time is running out to put forward the heroes you think deserve one of our special awards.
The closing date for nominations for this year’s Observer Community Awards is Thursday, October 27 - meaning there’s just two weeks left to get entries in!
We are still accepting nominations for each of the categories:
Best community person
Sports team or sports person of the year
Hero to animals
Best local voluntary/charity group
Best community event
Contribution to arts in the community
Community content deputy editor Kelly Brown said: “It’s come around quickly, but we are all thoroughly looking forward to our special awards night at Bognor Butlin’s on December 12, again hosted by the brilliant Fred Dinenage, where all the winners will be announced.
“It will be down to you, the readers, to cast your vote, but before then we are still looking for entries in every category.
“So if you know a person or group that really deserves to be recognised, don’t delay, get your nominations off now.”
You can email nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org - please include a brief description on why you are putting them forward, along with contact details for the nominee and yourself.
Alternatively, you can fill in a form in the Observer. See page 20 of this Thursday’s paper.
