This has been given as art of their firm’s 50th year golden anniversary celebrations. The New Park centre, home to a thriving arts scene and a neighbourhood services hub, has been part of the city’s fabric for more than a century, first as Chichester’s Central School and recently, as a social and cultural focal point for the community.

George Ide LLP, a full-service law firm that was established in 1961, chose the New Park Community and Arts Association as its third golden anniversary charity, donating £5 from every bill exceeding £150 plus VAT charged during the third quarter of the firm’s 50th year.

Ian Oliver, litigation partner at George Ide LLP, presenting a cheque for £4,080 to the charity’s chairman and development manager, said: “It is a great pleasure to support a charity that makes such a valuable contribution to community life in our city.

“As a leading West Sussex and South of England law firm we retain a special affinity for our home town, an affinity that reflects our strong local commitment and our sense of being firmly rooted in the neighbourhood in which our business was founded 50 years ago.”

The firm has already donated to Chichester’s St. Wilfrid’s Hospice and Stonepillow.
