Police launched an appeal for witnesses after a 35-year-old man from Bognor Regis and a 32-year-old man from London were hit by a car which didn’t stop in Harbour View Road on Sunday, May 1.

The Bognor man suffered only minor injuries, while the 32-year-old was in a critical condition.

“He remain in a serious condition but he is improving,” a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

A 39-year-old man from Bognor has been arrested.
