POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 28-year-old man who has failed to return to a health facility in Chichester, where he was being treated.

Known as Tom, the man left the premises with permission at around 1.30pm on Monday (November 24) but did not come back at 4.30pm as expected.

He was last seen in Edward Street, Brighton, on Tuesday afternoon.

Tom is described as white, 5ft 11in, of heavy build with short or shaven hair and a fair complexion.

He is thought to be wearing a grey t-shirt, green fleece, blue trousers and blue jeans. He smokes and is known to enjoy a drink.

It is not clear if Tom has access to medication that he needs and this could affect his personality.

Anyone who sees Tom or who knows of his whereabouts is asked to email or phone 101, quoting serial 1156 of 24/11.

In an emergency, call 999 and ask for police.
