Man suffers serious burns in suspected Bognor arson attack
A man is being treated in hospital for serious burns following a suspected arson attack on a home in Bognor Regis last night.
Sussex Police said officers were called to reports of a deliberate fire at a property in Oak Grove at 8.20pm.
“One man suffered serious burns and is currently receiving treatment,” said a spokesman.
They added: “Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Viper.
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online or by calling 0800 555 111.”
An eyewitness said armed police were on scene and Ash Grove, which connects to Oak Grove, was cordoned off by officers.
The fire and ambulance services were also called, he added.
