It’s bad news for Sussex residents as forecasters predict another week of bad weather.
After a month’s worth of rain fell on Friday (July 24), sunnier climates returned to the county on Saturday (July 25).
However, a yellow warning of severe weather was issued by the Met Office for parts of Sussex on Sunday (July 26) and is expected to still be in place tomorrow (Monday, July 27), with heavy rain and high wind predicted for most of the day.
The weather is set to improve slightly as the week goes on, with the forecast reading mostly cloudy and dry. Rain is only expected on Wednesday (July 29).
While the Met Office predicts glimpses of sunshine on Tuesday and Wednesday, forecasters say it won’t last and the rain will return on Saturday and Sunday (August 1 and 2).
Despite the pouring rain, no flood warnings or alerts are currently in place for Sussex.
It is good news, however, for hay fever sufferers as pollen levels are expected to remain low throughout the week.
