Motorcyclist collides with a child

A Bognor man was taken to hospital after his motorcycle collided with a child.

At around 2pm yesterday (Monday, April 1) a collision took place in Romany Road, Worthing, between a red Suzuki motorcycle and a nine-year-old local boy.

The boy was taken to Southampton Hospital, where he remains. He is suffering from serious leg injuries and a slight head injury. The injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 29-year-old man from Bognor Regis, was taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from a serious arm injury but has since been discharged.

Romany Road was closed until around 5pm while officers investigated the incident.
