New charity shop is looking for volunteers and donations
A new charity shop in Chichester looking for volunteers and donations.
Mount Noddy Animal Rehoming Centre is a separately registered charity which supports the local work of the RSPCA.
The centre is completely self-funded and rely on donations, fundraising and kindness to operate their large rehoming centre.
The charity has recently opened a new shop at 50 North Street, Chichester, to help raise vital funds for the organisation and spread awareness.
Mount Noddy opened in 1969 and is located at Eartham. They provide care and assistance to abandoned, abused and unwanted cats and dogs, acting as a temporary refuge.
The boutique style store was opened just before Christmas 2016 and now the charity needs animal-loving friendly people who would like to support them in raising money for the animal centre.
Mary, who currently volunteers at the Mount Noddy Bognor Regis store, said: “Volunteering in the shop has improved my confidence and I’ve made lots of new friends. I lost my job to redundancy and wanted to have a reason to get up in the morning while I looked for new work. This experience looked fabulous on my CV and helped me to get a new job a lot quicker than I thought. I still help out in my spare time because I love it so much!”
The charity shop offers many roles from serving customers to creating eye-catching displays and the hours can be flexible. Mount Noddy also encourages and assists all their staff with full training and support.
The shop also relies on the generous donations from the general public from clothing (ladies, mens and kids in any condition), bric-a-brac, books, dvds, cds, toys, footwear and bags and therefore are asking for any spare items.
For more information about volunteering or donating items, either pop into the shop at 50 North Street, Chichester or email [email protected]
