New date set for Almodington planning inquiry

A DATE has been set to resume the public inquiry into plans to build glasshouses in Almodington.

An appeal was lodged by Madestein against Chichester District Council’s refusal of its plans for 52 acres of glasshouses at Easton Farm last year.

The inquiry started at the council’s offices at East Pallant on February 27 but was adjourned on April 17.

It was adjourned because the appellant submitted revised plans showing a new scheme of highway improvements in Batchmere Road and Almodington Lane by the planned glasshouses site.

The inquiry will now resume on Wednesday, June 20 at 10am at the council offices. Facilities are available for people with disabilities.
