Felix Ramsden met Nick Herbert and government ministers in the first combined pub, bar, brewing and casual dining showcase which took place at the House of Commons.

During Apprenticeship Week, four government ministers, 64 MPs, 100 young apprentices, parents, trade associations and company representatives gathered to demonstrate skills and challenge MPs to take part in pint-pulling, spud peeling, dough stretching, bottle opening and cocktail making.

Andrew Percy, community and pubs minister, welcomed the attendees and congratulated the employers who were embracing the apprentice scheme.

He said: “Before I became an MP, I was a teacher and I saw the value of apprenticeships in my own area. Well done to you for taking on apprenticeships in this vibrant industry. This industry offers a range of brilliant jobs which contribute to the UK economy.”
