No joy for parish ombudsman bid

TANGMERE Parish Council has been rebuffed in its attempt to take Chichester District Council to the ombudsman.

The parish believes it lost out on an estimated £200,000 in developer contributions to the community in 2007 and 2008, because the district council did not negotiate the required amounts. CDC has denied any maladministration.

The parish council was told the ombudsman only considered complaints from individuals and the parish is now considering its next step.
