Observer '˜New Order' headline acts up
An Observer headline hit it off with New Order fans this week after the wording appeared to say the band would be tackling alcohol consumption on Chichester's streets.
The slogan ‘NEW ORDER TO CURB STREET DRINKING’ was picked up by Twitter user Alistair Coleman, who noted the wording could be misconstrued to suggest Echo and the Bunnymen would be ‘clamping down’ on those guilty of unruly behaviour.
One Twitter user asked to use a picture to promote New Order at a concert the next day.
Chichester District Council voted to approve the introduction of Public Spaces Protection Orders, despite objections from residents last week.
