Offbeat News: Cheeky Minion floats through a museum in the dead of night

The helium balloon, in the shape of the Dave character from the Despicable Me films, had been trapped in the rafters of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery for six months.

Stunned staff only realised the hilarious video showing its spooky journey through the attraction when they discovered the deflated balloon on the floor.

Hours of CCTV footage tracked its descent and at one point the character even appears to face the camea with its famous trademark grin as it floats through the gift shop.

The museum posted the video of the balloon on their Facebook page after it was captured on security cameras on June 6.
