Complete agreement

I am in complete agreement with Mrs Humby (Letters, Observer, October 11) regarding the new format of your newspaper.

The thickness of the new paper makes it so difficult to keep together, and to find the pages you are looking for.

A detachable section or sections would make reading it a far more enjoyable experience.

I would also ask if some consideration could be given to limiting the length of readers’ letters – while many are interesting, enjoyable and thought-provoking, there have been many recently which have been exceptionally long which can make reading them somewhat off-putting.

A word limit of maybe 250 words would give letter writers space to make their points, but ensuring they do so in a concise and succinct way.
