Council needs to demand its pound of flesh

RATHER than object to more housing in Tangmere, I suggest the Parish Council should follow the example of Billingshurst and Selsey and demand their pound of flesh from the new developments.

The village already has a new medical and dental facility, plus an excellent village hall.

Why not request a post office, more shops, leisure centre, secondary school and a much larger percentage of affordable housing than the norm of 40 per cent?
