Cover yourself up

I VERY much regret to see so many people responding to the recent sunny weather by exposing their skins to the sunlight, which has been proved to be a major cause of skin cancers, some of which can be fatal.

Having myself undergone a course of radiotherapy some years ago for a skin cancer which developed on my face after excessive sunbathing, I do everything possible to avoid sunlight.

We all think it will never happen to us, but it can and does.

The damage is not always evident and can take some time to show, by which time it can be too late in some cases, so I respectfully urge anyone who thinks that they might possibly have a skin cancer to have it checked by their doctor. I make no apology for casting a shadow on people’s enjoyment of the sun, but it can be very dangerous.

As for sun beds, I believe that they should be banned.
