It was only a '˜blip'

FURTHER to the letter from C Rookyard in last week's letters '“ he was referring to my letter regarding the aftercare I received in Middleton Ward, St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, after a hip operation.

I have always supported the hospital and the NHS and in my work helping elderly people found many of them saying how well they had been treated. Therefore I was very surprised at the cavalier fashion in which I was treated.

As I said, this took place over a weekend when no doubt the ward was staffed by agency staff.

No doubt the official staff have a different attitude to patients and my experience was just a blip in the standard of service provided to patients – particularly the older ones.
