LETTER: No special relationship

There were many reasons why the public voted to come out of the EU.

The politicians still do not understand that the number of the EU people who are coming here is affecting the indigenous population. They thought that when they voted out they would see an immediate reduction. It was never told it would take years to see a change and in the meantime things would get worse with more and more people coming from the EU.

The people also wanted control brought back to our Parliament, with the out vote we should get this brought back in time.

We thought we had a special relationship with the USA otherwise why have we got so many US bases all over Britain. If we had Russian or Chinese bases in Britain there would be a public outcry, so why not the USA.

We have not got control of Britain with the USA in charge of these bases. The USA could attack anyone without us being able to stop them. The USA have shown that Britain comes at the bottom of any trade deal, so by this they have shown that there is no special relationship on their part, it is only there if we do as they want or are told.
