NHS needs the cash

IN RESPONSE to letters written about NHS aftercare, I strongly feel that if the government was to increase funding these problems wouldn't exist.

Maybe some people do not appreciate the great stress that the clinical staff are under.

The wards are often understaffed, with equipment that doesn’t work.

I feel that most of the staff do their up most to make sure patients are comfortable and happy.

I’m not saying that all staff are the same, but you get that wherever you go – shops, the bank – some people just have different personalties.

The hospitals do not have the funding to staff wards adequately, or provide working equipment, but every year the government makes unrealistic targets, and cuts budgets.
