Welcome comments on broadband

I welcomed David Wood's letter concerning the broadband speeds in the area.

We often hear of grand plans to increase local speeds, but these are never detailed and appear to represent hope over expectation.

During the mid 2000s my broadband speed in the heart of rural France was a healthy 3Mb plus.

Seven years on, my speed in Boxgrove never exceeds 0.8Mbs, and is often well below this.

Some weeks ago I wrote to Andrew Tyrie MP when my speed dropped to 0.3Mb for several days, expressing my frustration and concerns about the impact this must inevitably have on local business.

Needless to say I still await an acknowledgement or reply.
