Paramedic thanks helpful bystander

An ambulance crew member wishes to thank a young man who helped her on a call out to a serious incident this week.

Abi Catnach, as she is named on Facebook, said the lad saw her struggling with her bags and got off his bike to help her into a building in Cherry Orchard Road on Tuesday July 19.

She added that the helpful youngster was aged about 15-years-old, but she was unable to thank him at the time.

She said: “Unfortunately it was a very sad job which he must have witnessed. The lad scarpered before I could thank him.

“Could a thank you be sent out to the chap on Cherry Orchard Road, Chichester, from the ambulance service. What a gentleman!”
