BREAKING NEWS: ‘Victory’ for Selsey traders as Asda plan is refused

The much anticipated Selsey Asda application has been refused planning permission.

Chichester District Council’s planning committee voted, nine to eight, in favour of refusing the application which includes 144 homes, a restaurant, hotel and petrol station.

After a quite evenly divided debate, it was refused on the grounds of its impact on the transport network and on the town centre shops.

Residents have called it a ‘victory’ for the community and traders.
